Good grief no!!! The saying that you can tell how good a country is by the way it treats it's older generations is very true.

Cate darlin' - he's a lying toe-rag!!! and he's still gipping us out of our pension and benefit rise. Up until last year benefits and pensions were increased by the rate of RETAIL Price Index (RPI). The Government determined to exclude housing costs from the index which reduced the index by several percentage points (Consumer Price Index). It is this latter and lower percentage rate that the Government are increasing benefits and pensions by. The Retail Price Index (RPI) is considerably HIGHER than 5.2%.

Well,I re read the link and it would appear that 5.2% is the figure but we will have to wait and see.

It seems we are going to get the full rate of inflation increase after all next April, a whole £5.30 a week
