Cate darlin' - he's a lying toe-rag!!! and he's still gipping us out of our pension and benefit rise. Up until last year benefits and pensions were increased by the rate of RETAIL Price Index (RPI). The Government determined to exclude housing costs from the index which reduced the index by several percentage points (Consumer Price Index). It is this latter and lower percentage rate that the Government are increasing benefits and pensions by. The Retail Price Index (RPI) is considerably HIGHER than 5.2%.

It seems we are going to get the full rate of inflation increase after all next April, a whole £5.30 a week
