Cancer Research

I have been donating to this important cause for a while now, today I received an Email from this organization talking about My Cancer. I was shocked to say the least as I have not sought medical advice for a while now, is this some sort of Shock Tactic?

Re: Cancer Research

I will not have anything to do with this organisation as they conducted some of the most horrific experiments on animals!

Re: Cancer Research

Mmm it's probably because a lot of supporters may also be patients, but not so good, was the email asking for something or just information?

Re: Cancer Research

I wouldn't donate anything to cancer research. I'd ignore it.

Re: Cancer Research

I think I'd be wary about being approached in this way. It doesn't sound very professional and maybe it's not genuine.

Re: Cancer Research

This whole issue puts me in a quandry. I was once involved in animal experiments and I quit for several reasons. My wife died from cancer aged 56.

Where do we go from here?

I know what you mean OG; my views would no doubt be unpopular on this forum. My wife died from Leukaemia, my father from Liver cancer, one of my brothers had Bowel cancer and has survived for over 5 years and now my daughter has just in the last month had an operation for Bowel cancer.

There was no spread and she is home now, if after the next three months there is no return it should be OK for her. Nevertheless it will be life altering for her but fortunately she has a career that doesn't involve manual work.
