Re: Census 2021

I filled ours in on Friday, for both of us. I just read the questions out to Mr B so he knew what I was saying about him. Mind you, he was across the room on the other sofa, so he didn't really know for sure which boxes I was ticking

Shall I pull his leg about what I said about him?

Re: Census 2021

Ours was last year and a mess. I decided to complete ours online, as well as my mother's, and the whole thing crashed in middle. I tried to go back and complete it, but it was no use. Then I tried to call the bureau to find out how much I had completed, but that couldn't be determined. Next I got forms in the mail, so I completed those with a note that mine had been started online and that I hoped that mine wouldn't be duplicated. Holding my breath, I sent both mine and my mother's forms to the bureau.

A few weeks later, the phone calls started as to why I hadn't completed my forms with threatening messages about breaking federal law, the importance of the counts, blah, blah, blah. I tried calling again. Then they threatened to send someone to the house, which used to be standard operating procedure. "Please do!" I begged. I called again to give my information, but when the person on the other end couldn't figure it out, I said PLEASE send someone to the house.

No one ever came.

Life it was easier when people just traveled to Bethlehem for the census despite all the lodging issues .

Re: Census 2021

I've just completed mine about half an hour ago

I thought the questions were reasonable, and overall it was easier than I expected

Re: Census 2021

As you know, the FIL passed away in December, on our last visit to the now empty property we picked up the Census Form destined for him. We just had to say zero to all the questions about who was living there, the only bit to fill in was about the property itself.

Re: Census 2021

Ours were all done earlier in the week.

Like most things related to filling in forms and paperwork, the thought of filling them in is worse than actually filling them in.

Same goes for tax returns.
