The forum software is too old. We could technically put it on https, but you would get far far far more warnings because each time you visited a thread with embedded photo bucket (or other photo host) pictures it would report that the page includes insecure content. This is because the photos will not be https, but the site will be - and as you are telling the browser it is a secure https site, it will scream at the user when it finds some of it isn't.

Newer forum software gets around it by making sure any embedded photos are https, and if they're not, it grabs a local copy - so everything is served via https which keeps the browsers happy.
