You may be right Nom. I think the tree feller is top of the list still.

Don't fret so, Nom, I am bringing the Vicar with me when I find the key to your cave. All under control.

Re: Should we ban cat ownership.

Only one of my cats was a born `killer`-the late Conker. So named as he was rescued as a semi feral kitten very high up in a horse chestnut tree. He was a sod, loving yes but also once hid half a rabbit behind the central heater-you can guess the smell.

My last, Cleo, was a rescue kitten and never hunted in her life.

I am not arguing anymore, it is silly. We all love our animals I hope, (except Tara), whether they be cats or dogs or anything else. That's is why we have them and care for them and do our best for them every day of their lives.
That is why they break our hearts when they have to leave us.

As I said earlier, I am proud I am able to feel love and compassion for other life forms.
I cannot ever imagine being any other way.
I'm out of this thread now.
Well said and that's all that matters.

Good for you Mups. You and me both. I love animals ('cept spiders..Hate Tarantulas!) I once threw three teenagers into a pond for throwing stones at the ducks. I warned them what would happen if they didn't stop and they just laughed and told me to F off. They didn't stop and I didn't F off. I waited around to make sure they survived of course.

I'd have paid money to see that, LOL

Tara's right about one thing... animals shouldn't be treated like humans. They should be treated better

I don't mind spiders. If I find them in the house, I usually take them outside.

If I see a spider in my house it's me that goes outside!

Aww, they won't hurt ya. They're more scared of you than you are of them.

However, there are a few spiders venomous to humans, like Black Widows and Brown Recluse, that we never mess with. But they're rare to find and I've never (knock wood) seen any in my house.

Spider in the bath?-drape a towel and it will crawl out. How to deal with two screaming females upon seeing a spider?? Give me time-they do not move in just yet.
