Re: Who will replace Teresa May ?

Some interesting arguments.

However, can we all agree that the Referendum said that the majority wanted to Leave the EU.

You can dress this up anyway you like.

You can call the Brexiteers idiots.

You can claim that the politicians screwed up.

Surely, in a democracy, all that matters is that "the people have spoken".

Spin it any way you want but, if you are a democracy, surely you should see Brexit through?

Brexit is many things to many people. Unfortunately it was not defined properly on the ballot slip. Chaos is what happens when you don't plan things properly.

Hi

I agree.

However times change, May went to the Voters with a back me message for her type of Brexit.

She did not get backing she sought, lost the majority she had and now is no longer able to deliver the Brexit she promised, which was to get immigration below 100k a year and leave the ECJ.

We now have to consider a completely different type of Brexit, what ever that may be.

Countries should make allies so they have others to support them.

I think you might find they want what you already most likely have, but which they see you now wanting to take away the opportunities that you had.

It's all very well talking about your grandchildren's future, but their parents have to live in the here and now, they don't want to lose their jobs and their homes, what good will that do for your grandchildren?

High principles are only good if you can afford them.

Hi

It is important to remember that we had many of the things that the youngsters now want.

We had free education, proper jobs and affordable housing.

It is quite understandable that they want the same.

If you worked hard, and long, for what you have, nowt really matters, you could not have done anymore, but, you could have done less, to get to the same point in time, that is down to the individual.

It would have been, on a fair playing field, but when your own people are trying every tactic in the book, to make getting out more difficult, it looks like the referee has left the field.

It seems that democracy is no longer a priority to most people, who are more concerned with lining their pockets. Makes you wonder how WW2 would have gone if the people hadn't been prepared to put up with some hardships, to retain their freedom!

Re: Who will replace Teresa May ?

Sounds like sour grapes all round here, but wasn't this period of uncertainty predicted. 2 years 4 years 8 years of downwards decay.
Isn't the truth that UK sold its "Best Bits" so now the large Corporates are in control and the UK no longer owns many (or any) of them. They sold them to the highest bidder for a few people to get filthy rich in the process and left ordinary workers at risk.

It started already the corporates are bleeding normal workers (no pay rise for how may years), and also the smaller competition will be sqeezed (and consumed) as they are in parts of Europe already.

Is there hope in that we are and will remain an Island ?
Is this "Being British" talk responsible for this whole mess ?

Sour grapes if ever I heard them! I should add that I've never like him.

What a slime ball he is ,can't stand the fellow.
