Furnaces

Do houses in the UK have to bother about gas, oil, propane, etc
furnaces in the basement to keep you warm when it gets cold? What about central air conditioning in the hot, humid summers?
Thanks, I really don't know

Re: Furnaces

Would love air conditioning but its so involved to get it done - may end up with it though.
Yes central heating, ours is electric, others have gas ......

Re: Furnaces

We have a gas boiler in a cupboard the lounge. I would also love air conditioning but it's very expensive and for the amount of warm weather we get, it's not worth it. would love a basement too!

Re: Furnaces

Hi AC generally it tends to be only older houses which have basements and only the newest expensive houses which have air conditioning.
Heating boilers are often found in kitchens.
