My daughter makes the best mince pies ever. I have tried using her recipe but they never come out as good as hers. Lovely short almondy pastry. She makes dozens every Christmas, for work, home and her Beaver Scouts. She was a very good cook as a child and would always make our Sunday pudding, something different every week. I used to give her free range in the kitchen and it has certainly paid off.26-11-2017, 06:26 PM
