Farage's EU Pension

Nigel Farage has sparked outrage by refusing to give up his taxpayer-funded EU pension after Brexit.

A man of high principles....................obviously.

And principles cost money but don't pay bills .... or are all other EU MP's waiving their pensions and you mean he should too?

I like the idea though.
Doctors and nurses who stick to their principles of helping people .. and want no pay.
Trade Unionists who fight for the working man .. and refuse remuneration.
Gas and electric suppliers who care for their customers ... so send no bills.

Hey ...if we're getting clobbered for 10 billion by the EU for all those pensions I want a bit of it filtering back to Britain.

Re: Farage's EU Pension

Hi

He is entitled to it, and so are staff who have been working whilst we have been part of the EU..

Our obligations for Pension Contributions cease on the day we leave, we pay nothing towards any more, but we do pay our accumulated Pension Liabilities.

That is how any pension system works when you change employer.

I really do not see what the problem is.

Re: Farage's EU Pension

I hope Farage and all our MEPs take every penny of pension they can get from the EU.
We the British taxpayers have contributed to the pension scheme for MEPs and it looks like we will continue to do so for some years to come.

Not only don't I begrudge him his pension I'd give him a medal too. If anyone deserves it he does.

Not a medal, but a target - pinned on his arse for anyone to take a pot-shot at or a swift kick!!!
