Re: A Different Reality

The London mayor comes out strongly against Corbyn criticising his poor leadership.

Re: A Different Reality

Hi

I am naturally somewhat middle of the road when it comes to Politics, I don't like the extremists be they Left or Right.

There is no way that I would ever vote for Corbyn.

I am a bit the same, but with the current position in the Labour party, along with no other viable party having a hope of being voted in, I feel that I will have no alternative than to vote Tory. If Nigel Farage had still been leader of Ukip, they may have got my vote, but they won't unless they have somebody equally strong, as I feel my vote would be wasted.

I will never vote Tory its simply against all the socialist principles with which i was raised but equally i will not vote labour . My vote is wasted anyway as i live in a hugely conservative area. For that reason UKIP will get my vote until something better comes along.

Re: A Different Reality

I don't see Jeremy as extreme left I have certainly met people further to the left than he is, I think Labour Party are getting what they deserve a bit, they elected a man they thought they could dismiss when they had used him, well that hasn't worked. Many of us saw what was happening and he represents many people who have until now felt left out of the political scene since our party was taken over by bliar a Tory if ever I saw one.

Re: A Different Reality

Tony Blair wasn't a Torywhen he won a land slide victory for Labour . The Labour Party had not won a general election for years before nor have they done so since .
He wasn't a Tory when he introduced the minimum national wage or spent millions of the NHS which had been neglected in the years of Tory government.
Under Tony Blair the standard of living for the poor and the working class improved dramatically.
He wasnt a Tory when he advocated humanitarian intervention in Ruanda and Seiira Leaone .I doubt any Kosovan will remember him as a Tory either but as the Labour PM who intervened on their behalf .
And wasn't it under Tony Blair that peace of Northern Ireland was eventually agreed?
Yes he got it wrong on Iraq ( backed by the opposition party as well) but it could have turned out OK and then he would have been feted as the best labour PM ever.
Now he is to all intents and purposes a super rich retired politician the same as many politicians .
Tony Blair for all his faults was a leader and leaders make decisions for good or bad.
Maybe I am wrong but I can't see Jermy Corbyn as such a leader .
