A beautiful place .... was ... the heritage that they've lost and the magnificent architecture will never be replaced.

That includes stop giving them guns and arms. We fuel so many conflicts.
100% agree, Julie! Very stupid and dangerous US lead bombing.

I think if we can we should help people on a personal level, I'd say charity from persons in this country to Syria would be in order twink, I'm not so sure about a lot of charity from our governments though, I'd rather it came voluntarily.

Refugees yes but on a scale we can cope with, at the moment it's lamentable the number we are taking.

Re: Syrian War

It's easy to say we but when it gets down to a personal level I doubt many people would take in Syrian refugees .
I wouldn't because I dont have room nor do I think do you .
Nor would most people.
Honestly even if I had a spare room I would not unless it were a smallish child .
I don't mind contributing and have done so already as I imagine have many people .

Hi

We are currently taking in 20,000 genuine refugees a year direct from the camps.

We are also giving £100's of Millions a year to support the camps in Syria, Jordan and Turkey.

If everybody else did the same the situation would be much better.

We cannot do it on our own.

I wasn't suggesting we should but we aren't doing what we agreed to do at the moment very few children have arrived and we should be doing more for them.

Hi

I am at a complete loss Julie.

As far as I am aware we are doing everything.

If you are talking about the economic migrants in Calais, they have to prove they are from Syria and are under 18 and are not a threat to us.

These are not refugees.
