Playing Poker

Hi

Brexit is a game of Poker, both sides wanting to win and there is absolutely no point in showing your hand to the other players if they do not show theirs.

This is exactly what that idiot Corbyn wants, which will mean Merkel and Juncker will get everything they want.

We have aces, we need to keep them.

This one is an example.

They do not know which way we will jump, it will take them years to develop their own systems.

A very good bargaining point for us.

Indeed. Who needs enemies when we already have so many in Parliament?

Re: Playing Poker

There are 27 of them And one of us. Do we have a hand that is at all playable? They can have what they want, we can have what we want as long as they want it as well. The whole secrecy argument just serves to show what May is like as a leader and I fear it just hides a vacuum..

No, the real question is "how much do they want to trade with us?"

Re: Playing Poker

Well they can hardly keep us if we simple leave, nothing stops us using all the laws we have now until we want to change them. They need to trade with us they wont want to ignore us for long.

Re: Playing Poker

Is their need to trade with us greater than our need to trade with them?

I believe that we buy more from them than they buy from us.

Take cars, for example. If they try to get nasty, we'll probably buy Japanese cars instead of German ones. Most people go for the best deal they can get, don't they?
