Another Legal Challenge.

Hi

The thing just runs and runs doesn't it?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016...eu-referendu/?

If she refuses to accept it, then next stage is JR, putting the judges back in the spotlight.

This, to my mind at least, is a far more important thing than Parliament getting a vote on Brexit.

If it goes ahead and is won, it would set a precedent that Politicians have to tell the truth.

Nigel will not be affected, he never made the claim and distanced himself from it.

Boris will be in a mess though.

We never did send £350 million a week to the EU, that is the problem.

Re: Another Legal Challenge.

Wonder if it's retrospective and will include broken manifesto promises?

Hi

It would be enough for me if they just stopped lying to us from now on.

Re: Another Legal Challenge.

I get a bit cross when people on about 'being lied to'.
Are we all so stupid and naive these days that we can't take that which we are told, analyse it and form our own opinions.

Nothing anyone said during the referendum campaign be it lies or truth change my decision on how to vote.

Quite so Barry , when I saw the slogan which said...

'We send the EU £350 million a week. Let’s fund our NHS instead. Vote Leave.”

I thought it meant with an extra £350million a week there will be more money available for the NHS not that the whole lot would go to the NHS .
But then I am not looking to nit pick every detail of everything anyone said during the referendum campaign

Hi

I think the issue here is not broken promises or predictions of what would happen it is the deliberate misuse of facts.

That is what is being alleged.

Gibbs as far as I was concerned (and I think that goes for anyone capable of rational thought), there were very few 'facts' just speculation on both sides.

Hi

It is a very narrow complaint Meg, the statement that we send £350 million a week to the EU.

We never did send the money, so in that respect the complainant has a point.

We voted to leave, democracy in action, job done as far as I am concerned.

I am interested however in the principle of politicians telling us things they know to be untrue.
