Re: Cleaning Lady

We had a cleaning lady come in some weeks ago. I keep our house very neat and tidy but Mrs mart thinks I don't deep clean it enough, as she would if she was able to. I reckon I do it OK but agreed to have a lady in to clean the parts that the other cleaner (me) isn't reaching.

Maybe the cleaner did do it better all in one go, whereas I'll notice that some aspect that needs a good clean as time goes by and then thoroughly clean just that part.

I didn't mind the cleaning lady coming in but Mrs. mart hasn't pushed to get her back. Maybe she thinks I'm not so bad after all.

A cleaner waa something i always wanted when the children were younger and me full-time at work
Now I have mire than enough time at the weekends and some evenings so I can't justify the expense.
That... plus I'd be even more of a Diva without chores to keep me grounded!

Re: Cleaning Lady

I worked as a cleaner for the last 14 years of my working life.

Family of 5, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a little one, plus a big hairy dog.

They were complete animals incapable of doing anything for themselves, they couldn't even load and unload the dishwasher. The Missus didn't know how the washing machine worked.

3 toilets in the house with crap stuck to the sides of all of them, every day.

Bogeys wiped on walls, dirty crocks and cutlery shoved under beds and down the sides of sofas, you get the picture.

I don't miss it you'll be surprised to hear

Re: Cleaning Lady

Deep cleaning - OK, thorough cleaning might be a better term. Things like dusting under ornaments, dusting or washing ornaments, going around getting all cobwebs down, wiping down the skirting boards.

It's not that I don't do these. It's just that I don't do them as regularly as might be thought needed.

Re: Cleaning Lady

Having two cats keeps me vacuuming for Britain, otherwise we would disappear under a sea of hairs. I'm sure it upsets them when I have cleaned the house, undoing all their good work.
