Re: Birds

They don't come this far north, and seem to be more inland than we are.
But who knows with global warming, it may happen!

Thats what has occurred here, at first just a few dropping in for a quick feed in Spring, then one wintered a few years back.

And eventually we had some breeding, one was colour ringed and it had come from France.

That is neat;
I love seeing new birds.
Last year we saw a Tricolored blackbird here, which was out of its range. They normally like lowland marshes in Caliornia, but I guess with the drought there, they're coming further north.
Unfortunately, we never saw any this year.

Re: Birds

I just remembered I posted about it last year!

http://www.over50sforum.com/showthre...ight=blackbird

And I also just found another landscape picture on Photobucket. Sadly, it looks like I may have lost all of my other pictures on the external drive.
Guess you need backups of your backup these days.

Im sure if you take it in to a computer repair shop they will be able to retrieve them. Might be worth posting in the tech section some knowledgeable folks on there.

PS that flight shot is a belter.

Re: Birds

I took this at Wicksteed Park today, it has such nice colouring. Is it a hybrid mallard or some other duck ?

Re: Birds

Defo got Mallard in it Alan, it may be partially leucistic as its quite pale. Im not well up on the fancy ducks think Mups kept them so she may know. A nice clean sharp shot shows the feather detail well.
