Re: The call of nature.

Just read the link Mags gave and I think that is terrific news, especially for the people of Bristol and Bath, the money generated from their waste will soon be able to finance all local government spending, wiping out all the water, bin, and household taxes, and ironically all because of a crap idea. Who needs the oil companies or North Sea Gas? Avonmouth works will soon become the new Saudi Arabia helping to save the World into the bargain, who could ask for better than that! Oh you lucky people.

Re: The call of nature.

Sewage treatment plants use the methane for power I think. I don't imagine it could run the whole operation.
There are cow poop methane generators, basically a pit with poop in the bottom and a method to collect the methane. Not sure how common they are.

Some buses round here run on cow-poo generated methane, with a cute picture of ¨Daisy¨ the cow on the back.
