Ha ha... Last time the British tried that they ended up with a nation that had a lower crime rate, greater wealth, better climate and could thrash them at just about any sport they could name. Not only that but they also ended up paying for their head of state, it might not be an experiment Britain would want to try again.

If you mean stealing bread etc to survive - a bit different to todays standard of crime - don't you think !
If it were todays lot - they would achieve nothing .....too busy fighting amongst themselves .....

I agree my Nan's sister was shipped off to Canada, her crime was stealing a pair of left shoes, she didn't understand her crime or her punishment, but her parents decided safer for her to be sent away than end up in prison. Gentle soul from what I have been told and very different to these nightmare neighbours we are talking about.
