The Great British checkout operator!

Spare a thought for these stalwarts of public life. Working for a menial sum by scanning your cat food and heavy cases of Stella, packing your bags, putting up with your inane chit chat and being the subject of all kinds of verbal abuse.
They provide a great service.

I do exactly that in my local Tesco Express. Tpin will vouch for that! . It's about time he paid me another visit for more inane chit chat!!!

She's very brave working Sundays. I will be doing my bit tomorrow on a Bank Holiday.

Bank Holidays are even worse. Glancing at the calendar, my wife is there 9-6 tomorrow. She's part-time now but feels like a full-time job.
Have you noticed that they turn the heating up on sunny days to make people buy more ice cream?

And off I go to Aldi, usually forgetting to pay for my diesel

They do a great job and our Sainsbury's checkout staff are excellent.
