She hates offending people
Elsie makes us laugh, she always takes a treat no matter who offers it, carries it in her mouth for a while then when giver is out of sight spits it out. Lady down the road always gives her a milk bone and end of our road every morning Elsie spits it out.Not fussy just knows she isn't allowed to eat anything we haven't given her but doesn't want to offend the giver

We used to have to teach them "Food Refusal" in my dog training days.I suppose it is a good thing in a way, cos some idiots could give them all sorts of inappropriate things, or even something harmful.
They weren't allowed to take anything unless we said they could.
Not sure how my current rogues and thieves would accept that though!
