Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 1)

Grey Day but no rain, looked threatening at times. Guess what? Carer found asleep again last night!! So very little sleep and I have been excessively grumpy today, as a result. Have an ICU nurse in tonight, thank goodness.

Younger daughter, from Llandough, staying with elder daughter. She will be back here with twins again tomorrow. Must get some sleep tonight, you have to be fit for those little darlings. They love it when Grandpa has a nebuliser, because steam comes out of his mouth like a Dragon. How many grandkiddies can boast that their Grandpa is like a Dragon? That Grandpa has a lift that they can go up and down on?

Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 1)

Daughter and twins here today after doing the Ice Bucket Challenge for MND.

The problem is that Michael should have nurses, not carers. His consultants have always said this. He is far too complex and it freaks many of them out. Secondly although many carers truly love caring there are quite a few who just do it for money, and try to get away with blue murder. This lat one has really shocked us as we felt we could really trust her.

Lovely morning for the last day of August, looks good for the next few days too-typical the children go back to school this week.
My thoughts go out to you Celyn,it must be hell for you and your family not to get the proper care for Michael.
