Yes they that bread is too sweet for me, can't eat it.

Another smoked haddock for us, with new potatoes, carrots and fine beans.

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

My egg salad was good, but the sweetness of the Brioche kind of ruined the party for me. I tried to get through as much of it as I could, but ended up scraping the egg salad off the bread and eating it with a fork.

Today I've got a ton of Sunday dinner prep to do. Sunday dinner will be marinated baked chicken, mashed potatoes with chicken gravy and homemade coleslaw. Well, I didn't grow the cabbage. I just mean I'm making slaw myself rather than picking it up at the grocery. I prefer fresh coleslaw, not stuff that's been sitting around in a deli case.

As well as my Sunday dinner prep, I'm also making a big pot of homemade vegetable soup to eat for my lunches throughout next week. I don't want to brag or anything, but I looooooooove my homemade veggie soup

Oh and lunch today will be Quinoa and Potato Latkes.

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

Brioche is nice for burgers, esp burgers cooked out on the BBQ , the sweetness really goes well with the smokiness of the burger and the sourness of the pickles

The fit bit thingy is a complete waste of time for me as it counts arm movements. As I do vegetable prep for a living, my left arm had done 5km in an hour yet I hadn't moved from the spot lol

Grandson now has a new gadget

I'm needing a clip on which will only measure steps

I've been really slack this week. I've munched on crisps and biscuits, and really not cared too much. Well I lie, I do care that I'm slipping but I think my whole mood has been down and I've used them as a fix.

I'm not usually a down sort of person but I do get dips so I know it's just a blip and normal service will be back shortly which is why I'm not beating myself up

Blimey that sounds confusing even to me lol

Hope everyone else is fine with where they are at

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

I don't like Brioche buns on burgers, either. Thought it might be okay with the egg salad, but I couldn't eat it. It's as sweet (or maybe even sweeter) as Hawaiian rolls. Hawaiian rolls are great, though, for ham & swiss melts.

I get that way too, Missy. I care, but then I really don't at the time. "Dips and blips" (I like that phrase, I think I'll use that, lol) are going to happen. The worse thing you can do is beat yourself up over it. Just try and look at it as an enjoyed experience and move on.

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

Well I only had a 5 hour shift today so skipped breakfast and lunch and came home starved and ate the left over Chinese from Saturday night

Also found out that the 5 km fun run I signed up for is actually 5 miles Its going to kill me

Im going to have to get walking faster to build my stamina up. I have no chance of running it, but I don't want to stroll, I want to do it in a reasonable time without killing myself

I know, Im terrible at doing that

I tend to eat when Im hungry and not before

Like this morning I was awake since 5am ( typical on a day off lol) but just had a slice of toast now

Im heading out for trainers today, something I don't possess and I don't think my walking shoes are going to hack this exercise malarky

My blip has put my weight up a bit so Im back to strict control again. Didn't help that the grandkids were here and the place was full of stuff I don't usually have in the house. If its here Ill eat it so I usually just don't buy it

Not sure about dinner tonight, Ive some chicken fillets in the fridge , half a cauliflower and a few wilting leeks and not so fresh mushrooms needing using up - I shall think of something to do with them

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

It's all about the homemade veggie soup for me this week. Had some Saturday evening, then again Sunday, then again yesterday and again today I'll be taking some for lunch. I think a 4-day run is enough, I'll probably pitch out what's left. I don't like keeping food around for very long.
