Is the EURO dying?

With the two parties elected will the Italians pull out of the EURO.

It seems to only benefit Germany and France.

Hi

None of the two parties elected in Italy are suggesting leaving the EU.

The EU is changing, populism is rife.

The Visigrad Countries, Austria, The Netherlands, Denmark and now Italy are not in favour of ever closer Union.

Junckers dream will fail.

As for the EURO, it will stay, just a change in the rules, which both France and Germany flaunt regularly.

Re: Is the EURO dying?

The EU has imo been a disaster for many countries. The EU's persistence in tryong to make one currency fit all, has failed miserably and seen countries bankrupted, which of course gives them all the more power over those countries. Farage pointed out the dangers and stupidity of this "one currency fits all" nonsense many times to the EP. His EP speeches on YouTube are amazing to watch in hindsight. He was berating the corrupt EU megalomaniacs who were laughing at him, and now we see that the EU is starting to collapse.

Many countries would do better to re-instate their former national currencies imo. And they probably will in time.

Hi

I can see many EU Countries not joining the Euro.

They have an opt out to not join, just say economy is not in line.

The EUROrules have to change,France and Germany do not abide with them anyway.

Question is...

Does the EURO benefit the weaker countries.

Does it benefit Greece?

Have the Italians suddenly realized that after 2 decades of negative growth and over 50% of the youth unemployment that the EURO is stopping them

They are not so lucky as Ireland who have the EURO and in the same spot when the banks collapsed and when Cameron propped them up with billions of pounds and stated that because we have a massive trade between us we have to support them.

We do not have the same "love" with Italy and Greece...so will the Germans do what we did with Ireland and support Italy?

Italy opting out once there is a coalition government in force...it might be seen as a quick fix to appease the electorate?

You might be wrong on that but time will tell.

I hope you're right. They have made a mistake in hurtling towards one extreme. But I am hoping they will see some sense and we can go back to having an economic union with some political/social/security links. Not the United states of EU though.
