My favourite breed is English Setters, of which I have had two in the past. One was a working breed, the other the grand-daughter of a Crufts Supreme Champion. The working dog lived to seventeen, the other to thirteen.

I much prefer big dogs, but having said that, I now have a yappy little rescued mongrel, given my difficulties in walking. She happily hops onto the footplate of my mobility scooter, we ride down the hill to the fields where she can have a run, whilst I trundle around the path.
