I watched Happy Valley tonight and found it really hard to understand what they were talking about in places I had to turn my volume up in some bits just to try and hear what was being said.
Bloody cracking program though I loved it apart from that.
We have recorded it.
The last series made an impact on OH and wheras he normally forgets Tv plots in days he has remembered this one and is looking forward to seeing the new series.
I was reading the article in Mail Online and you're not the only ones to complain about the mumbling! It seems everyone had an issue with that, and the general sound.
Sarah Lancashire, though a brilliant actress, does tend to have a particular style of delivering her lines, which can prove difficult to follow, I agree.
well back to happy valley ==i had it on for 10mins only and it held no interest for me at all .. mainly coz i thort sarah lanaster acting would be better ' so not for me have to say ...

It appears to be a problem with many T.V. programmes these days!
Apart from that - it IS a really good drama programme.
Perhaps we should make use of the sub-titles?

Malc it seems that several people have made the same comments on the "mumblings" but I shall stick with it as im enjoying it a lot ...I actually re watched it today on iplayer with my head fones on so I was able to hear much better lol
