What is it with TV producers these days that they can't produce dialogue that people can understand. I remember a big complaint about Jamaica Inn last year, and recently people were complaining about War and Peace.I thought we'd advanced with technology to the point that would be fairly easy to achieve but apparently not. Nevertheless, will be watching Happy Valley probably with subtitles but how stupid that we have to do that.

I'm finding this series just as gripping as the first. However, like others I am experiencing difficulty in catching some of the dialogue, particularly by Sarah Lancashire. Sometimes she seems to lower her chin and talk into her chest rather than projecting out of her mouth.Looks like subtitles for me too.
