Do you feel desired?

I saw part of Loose Women while I was getting my lunch today, and they were discussing a survey which had asked members of the public about whether they ever felt "Desired".
It doesn't have to mean rampant passion like a teenager, but just 'wanted' or 'needed' sometimes.

I believe it was 80% of people said they didn't ever feel desired.

I found that huge percentage quite sad.

I know some of us haven't got partners/spouses etc, but still 80% is a huge figure, especially for those who are in a relationship as well.

They said it was sad when some people, male or female, try to make a special effort for their loved one, but end up feeling they may as well be invisible.

Any feelings on this?

Required is not the same as Desired.

Yes actually, my OH is younger than me, he certainly gave my life a kick start when we got together. But even now he always makes an effort, and I appreciate it very much..

Good for you Apricot, that's lovely.

You are one of the lucky 20% .

And you too, Roxy.

You should have been on the telly speaking up for the small 20%.

I have no doubt whatsoever if I wish to be 'desired' in the way people mean it on this forum, I would have no difficulty accomplishing it, but I have no desire to do so.
