Yes, I too like "tough and protective" type gentlemen, Art, but that doesn't mean to say they can't have a gentle and sensitive side too I hope.
And if someone I liked did that for me, I certainly would not think of him as a wimp! I imagine I'd find it very touching and personal.
Each to their own though, ey.
