Forget about decimilsation - there were only tiny adjustments then. This is much more serious.

Think its only a little blip because the Canoke in Charge of the BOE reduced interest rates to 1/4% when America had just raised theirs.

I well remember the late Harold but it was the exchange rate he was mostly dealing with then and there was no Europe debate?

Re: Brexit and the pound

Hi

Well yesterday the £ sunk to a 168 year low.

This is going to result in higher fuel bills for all of us and yet more increased prices in the shops.

A temporary issue, I'm sure, and due to scaremongering and undue worrying by some people. In the longer term, I know that the country will be better off.

Unilever is being greedy. A not uncommon trait of big business.

I like Flora and Not Poodles; they form part of my staple diet, but I'm willing to give them up in favour of other alternatives until Unilever changes its mind.

I'd also give up on Brie, Champagne, BMWs and so on if the EU Empire tried to prevent us trading with them at reasonable costs (not that I have ever owned a BMW - some Japanese cars are just as good, if not better, anyway!).

There is nothing wrong with Japanese cars, All my cars for the last 25 years have been Japanese, prior to that they were Holden Kingswoods. European cars just don't cut it unless you never leave town (my Ford Escort Mk1 and Austin 1800 just fell apart).
