I'm not convinced it is racism TBH but I haven't followed Malcolm's posts, just going on what you described above.
A dislike of something pertaining to a race or culture is not imo racism.
Racism is more about asserting that every person from a given race has one or more attributes or characteristics, and that typically that race is in some way inferior to another race.
Thus a person who says "I dislike Scottish music" is not imo being racist. He is simply expressing a dislike of a type of music.
I happen not to like Indian music in general. I find the typical instruments used are whiny and tedious and lack good rhythm and structure. On the other hand I love a lot of Indian people and have made many such friends.
Malcolm doesn't like Scottish music, fair enough.
Reminds me of a joke/quip on the subject which goes thus:
Q - "What is the definition of a Gentleman in Scotland?"
A - "Someone who knows how to play the bagpipes . . . but doesn't"
Moving on . . .
If Malcolm were to say that he hates all Scottish people no matter who they were, just because they were Scottish, then yes that would be racism imo.
