Had a funny experience with germ control at the hospital yesterday, used the gel cleaner as directed after I checked in and had a massive allergic reaction to it, can only say I was in the right place as doctors and nurses were there like a shot but think I might give it a miss next time I visit.03-04-2015, 11:40 AM

Have you ever watched those Obsessive Compulsive cleaner programmes on TV? The last time I watched it, there was a young woman who was using one and a half bottles of bleach a day! She said she loves the smell! I wonder what she'd think if she knew it was probably damaging her children; wonder if she could stop using so much.They've been saying for along time that cleaning products are responsible for various new allergies and that the bacterial wipes that kill 99% are not a good thing as a too sterile environment gives kids no chance to develop immunities to normal germs.
Seems to me a basic cleaning routine with good hand washing procedures are probably our best defence.
