Water mark.

This morning I removed a vase of flowers which had been on my mantelshelf for a week. Even though I put a cloth beneath the vase - somehow it's managed to leave a big white circular water mark on the polished shelf.

I looked on the internet for tips on how to remove it but so far nothings worked - tips have included olive oil/salt - toothpaste/baking soda.

Anybody have any idea please?

Re: Water mark.

Is your mantle shelf wood? if it is you could get a specialist crayon for wood of the same colour, they tend to cover up blemishes

Re: Water mark.

Put a white cotton top on the stain and iron it with a fairly hot iron for a few minutes, repeat till the stain has gone.
