You have to push a button on our to see the reading, it is never on view permanently.
You must have blown something when it tripped.

Mine's not the same as yours then Jimmy. I've never needed to push a button first. I reckon it was something to do with that RCD.
Anyway, at least it hasn't affected the power indoors, its only the meter itself. They said they will estimate the bill for now, then I can adjust it next meter reading.
They tried to make me have a Smart Meter installed, but I said no. She said it was going to be compulsory later on, but I said its not at the moment though, so I just want an ordinary one that I understand! She said OK in the end.

Mups when you said they were going to fit a new meter I thought to mention to you to check if they intended to fit a smart meter without asking in case you didn't want one..

There is absolutely no way I am having one .

Why the negativity about smart meters ? we would like one but can't have one I thought they sounded pretty good ?
