scrabble rules

Can the triple word points be used twice? E.G. one vertical word.....followed by a horizontal word ending on the same letter which falls on a trip word tile.

In a word Lindyloo
No
Once covered the squares underneath don't count
Only the value of the letter tile is counted

But that is surely two go's? Gamer 1 has put Horses and got the triple word score on S. Gamer 2 has put Speed and surely also qualifies for a triple word score on S?? No?

Re: scrabble rules

The original word was Horse (sorry not clear)
Gamer then makes a plural on the triple word square and a new word across
Then I think it's counted twice

Thanks very much for that. I really wanted to know the triple word score could be taken twice........... shame!

Re: scrabble rules

Hi

Scrabble is a game you must win.

The rule is very simple, if your opponent makes the word, then no, only one triple point score, if you make it, it is two triple points scores..

At least, those are the rules according to my ex.

You are quite correct. The triple point tile is counted as triple points for each word in that situation.

Once a tile has been placed on a triple score square, and counted, either player subsequently adding another word using the same tile, it will not count for triple points.
