It's Lent!
I've just realised that this is the first day of Lent!Now being a fine upstanding Christian type of person, ok ok so I'm not, but my mum and dad did their best!...when I was growing up we all had to give up something for Lent.
Heaven knows why...something to do with Self Sacrifice if I remember correctly.
It was usually sweets, which was great because I don't have a sweet tooth so no hardship there
Anyway I've given up APOSTROPHES for Lent!
So all you ignoramuses can post your photo's and moan's and it's and thing's and I won't say a word
What are you giving up then?
Booze?
Curry?
Exercise?
Argueing?

I would say Argueing but it would get boring ...Then I would end up drinking .forget the exercise I wouldn't be able to walk a straight line ...With all the drinking and no exercise curry would make me sick ..
So I guess I would be better off ...trying to give up nothing ...

I am not Catholic so I don't know a lot about Lent, but I will google it and will have more knowledge.
I want to give up something. There is one thing I would like to give up and I have been trying off and on for years.
It is: Having an afternoon nap.
I think that is what I shall give up. Fingers crossed, if I get through the first few days, I will probably do well.
