I don't see it sticking. Won't be long before the ban will be revoked.

I give it just a matter of months.

The picture of that poor woman being told to take clothing off was shameful for a so called civilised country, took 4 armed men to stand over her and insist !

Unless they sort this Law out it won't last.
I gather that the lady on the beach who was breaking the Law, needed only to take four steps onto the adjoining pavemented area and she was okay.

Why ban it?

I don't see anything sinister in it, or offensive, or a security risk.

A step too far imho

Exactly if you wanted to take a gun or bomb onto the beach surely a bag would cover it better than this garment. I'd like to see them approach nigella Lawson she like several fair skinned ladies wears one.

Re: France is right to ban the Burkini

It is what it signifies that is getting up people's noses. Women under Islam do not have the freedom of women in the West, so with this in mind the Burkini ban is one way to force change, otherwise Islam will continue to lay the law down with increasing regularity. This 'change' is a constant one. Slowly but surely they are bending us to their will. Far fetched? Don't you believe it, our culture is being attacked from all quarters.
