Afternoon Roxy,hope Your journey Home is not too harrowing...it's scorching here so I'm under the parasol reading...Youngest Daughter & Husband are touring up North in the camper-van,in Harris at the mo'....Eldest Daughter on holiday in France with Her Clan where it's 32 degrees,too hot to sit out She says so spending most of the time in the pool....think it'll be back to rain tomorrow.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

As you'll know the beaches up here are mostly wee Coves or Bays May, along the top coast between Thurso and Durness they are stunning and quite sheltered. The only big one is the one in that photo and that's Dunnet Bay between Thurso and John o Groats. I use that one mostly but if I feel like a drive then I head to Strathy Bay about 20 miles west of Thurso, a wonderful wee place..
