Re: Wedding Rings

I had a wedding ring when I got married. Unfortunately my skin is allergic to gold and makes it turn green. So it is in a draw now. Even my wrist watch is made (or coated) with titanium as is the strap

Re: Wedding Rings

Oh that is sad. Not much you could do about the cats but do you regret not retrieving the ring?

Re: Wedding Rings

My late husband was def not into wearing jewellery of any kind.
He wore a watch with a leather strap not a metal one.

My late father, when he was younger, wore a signet ring on his ring finger.
I remain unsure about men wearing wedding rings.

Equality has me thinking YES why not ...

Re: Wedding Rings

I never had a conventional wedding ring, the plain band type, men didn’t get wedding rings over here when we got married, I have two signet rings, one with an onyx stone set in and one plain with engraving at the edge of the head. Sometimes I put one on my wedding finger when I’m all dressed up for an occasion, but I hate wearing rings at any time and can’t work properly with one on my fingers.

I stopped weraing mine after i slipped climbing down a scaffold and caught it on an upright pole and was left hanging by my ring finger.

Anyhoo surely the ball and chain is enough to carry round. ?

Nope-the ring passed on. Animalia, the world I made for her also moved on. But Des and Zano rode her coffin and are still here either side of her ashes

Re: Wedding Rings

My husband never wore a ring and I haven't worn one for about 20 years. Mine got too tight so I sawed it off with a hacksaw , I do have the pieces somewhere.
