You're both very welcome.

I've set the TV to record the entire series. The problem with More4 is the adverts. Still, at least it's possible to skip through them quickly. I might even buy the Box Set at end.

BTW: Did I mention that I love the story?

Are series two & 3 completely different stories or do they continue on from series 1?

Re: Outlander

I really hope they have stayed true to the books, it's a pet hate of mine to see a series of books I love televised only to be ripped apart. I settle down to watch and see how favourite characters turn out only to find there's no sign of them and new ones invented in their place. The last one to have this treatment was the Agatha Raisin books by M.C. Beaton, and her Hamish Macbeth stories before that.

Re: Outlander

1 and 2 are out now, can be bought as a double box set, cant say if they adhere closely to the books as ive not read them.

My next purchase will be series two of the Last Kingdom based on the Bernard Cornwell books.l

Re: Outlander

In my opinion, the first episode last night, was true to the beginning of the written version.

That's good, we recorded it but have not watched it yet. Will have a peek at it over the W/E.

Re: Outlander

I've read the books and already seen series 1, and I don't recall any significant differences. I never got around to watching series 2 but must do so.

Re: Outlander

I'm really enjoying it, I love the opening credits they are so right for the series. I think that version of "The Skye Boat Song". is terrific. Problem is.......I can't get the tune out of my head, it's whirling around all the time..
