Re: Should animal charities bring in dogs from overseas ?

Mine is a Romanian rescue dog. I have no idea what her history is, (she was about four when I took her) but she is the most obedient dog I have ever had. In the past all my dogs have been pedigreed raised by me from eight weeks old. Yet none have been as loyal and loving as this one.

How dogs are treated in Romania is horrendous, they are rounded up and slaughtered. At least in this country we do not treat strays in this manner, they are saved fom such brutality.
When I went to the dog rescue centre, I was not specifically looking for a foreign rescue animal, it was just chance that I ended up re-homing Gypsy, a blessing for both of us.
