Israel is building a wall on its northern border along a line demarcated by the United Nations in 2000 in order to limit Hezbollah incursions into its country .Walls are very effective
The Syrians actually hate the West now for not helping them. They can see (they are in the thick of it,) they understand , they have lived it and they know the truth. The Syrians are hating US , UK ,France and other EU nations and are urging Assad to continue his fight against these animals that have ruined all of their lives. They are behind him fully, from the comments I am reading on a daily basis.
And if they all hate the west ( nothing new there ). Why are they so anxious to come here ?
What exactly are ' we ' suposed to do about it ?
Indeed what a shame the whole Syrian civil war can't somehow be pinned on Israel .But it's can't however hard Israels enemies try !

It's really disappointing that the whole of the news headlines focused on the Syria crisis. Why is Israel involved? Forgive my ignorance but it's becoming so complex I cannot bear to try to trawl through the detail. It just makes no sense that Israel should be involved. Can anyone explain?

I wonder are you focusing on Israel why not Russia for example ?As Swims has said there is the presence of the Iranian backed Hezbollah ( those friends of Jeremy Corbyn) who are intent in making trouble for Israel under cover of the Syrian war.
Meanwhile Israel is already nominally involved with ' Operation Good Neighbor, 'the humanitarian relief operation it operates to prevent starvation of Syrians who live along the border and provide basic or advanced medical treatment.
"The aid consists of medical care, water, electricity, education or food and is given to Syrians near the ceasefire line between Israel and Syria, often escorted across by Israeli soldiers. Over 200,000 Syrians have received such aid, and more than 4,000 of them have been treated in Israeli hospitals since 2013.Many of the treated victims are civilian, often children."

Assad a horrible man, Russians and Americans using Syria as a war ground keeping the fighting from their borders, nearly all the other countries involved piling in on one side of another making grabs for land and territory. None of them nice or reasonable people they don't care who gets hurt.White helmets a great group until others realised put a white helmet on they would be safe so now no one knows who is a genuine saviour and who is an insurgent.
It's a mess only thing can help at this point is talking, they must get a ceasefire and sit down and talk.
The only people's side I am personally on is the Syrian people who have not done anything to deserve this.
