Wow Ireland! Yet another piccy thread.

After Co Kerry we moved on to Co Roscommon.

Rather than take the quickest route, we went the pretty way and took in some more of the WAW.

Some unusual coastal rock. Those aren't footprints in concrete but natural erosion.

Who said there were no straight lines in nature.

This chap lived next door to our holiday cottage,

... and these were our near neigh, neigh, and thrice neigh-bours.

I wonder if they pulled the coach depicted on their posh post box.

We had a grand day out at the Raptor Research Centre.

A foxy lady, with the resident vixen.

This chap's wings were so big I couldn't get them all in the picture.

You have just been burgled.

An 'awk catching it's tea.

Look at the beak on him!

Do you like my Auntie/MiL's new hat decoration?

I had to mark the young lady down for only mimicking one wing.

A bird in the hand.

Close formation flying.

On final approach.

Steady as she goes.

A spread eagle.

Touchdown.

You could be forgiven for thinking this is one of our Zumerzet hyperways.

The first of many waterfalls.

Another one.

... and another.

Yet another.

A gruff bluff.

Elphin Windmill. The thatched cupola is moved by hand using a long pole with a cartwheel attached.

Trump mountain?

This was the indisputable work of a master craftsman. I can't imagine how long it took to cut, glue, and assemble the individual wood blocks before it went anywhere near a lathe.

How he found time to make this I do not know.

We bought two clocks but they are packed in the roof bag on top of the car so haven't got any pics yet.
We are heading home today so I'll post the pics once my Lovely Cousin has decided where they are going to sit.
I've got some more pics of other items the wood turner produced and will be happy to post them up if you are interested.

Er, I have no idea what it was called.
I have a habit of suddenly turning down an interesting looking lane just to see where it leads. This one happened to climb over a mountain pass and that was what we saw from a view point.
