Picking herself up she looked down at her muddied shoes and laddered tights and then felt a pain in one of her wrists caused by her attempt to steady her fall.

She also felt a pain shoot through her left leg.....and then heard heavy footsteps.......

Instinctively she took cover hiding her injured body in the hollow of a tree, hardly daring to breathe as she listened to the approaching footsteps

Then suddenly it all went quiet, hardly daring to breathe she slowly raised her head over the top of the hollow and ....

... had a quick look around. She could barely see a thing in the fog and the glowing yellow eyes were nowhere to be seen. Though trembling with fear, she steadied herself to leave the relative safety of the hollowed out tree, but suddenly, she heard the snap of a twig close by....

In just a few seconds an Irish Wolfhound came bounding up, snarling ,its eyes bulging .
