And what of all the months/years where you won nothing?

Odds of winning £100 are 1 in 2,406,749

Odds of winning £25 are 1 in 24,500

It's a losing proposition

No I can confidently say that's never going to happen.

Your chances of winning the £1million prize are a staggering

1 in 36 BILLION !

In your life time you won't have time to participate in more than a few thousand actual draws. Clinging to this ridiculous notion is pure folly.

You are losing money all the while you leave your hard-earned with someone else to speculate and gamble with.

Re: Premium Bonds

Yes I guess you are right Realist.
I should have put it into a fund
Fundsmith Equity Fund made 35.05 % last year .
Fortunately I have a little invested in that too.
Hindsight is a great thing
However there is always the risk the stack market will crash and then take years to recover .
Are you going to tell us what you think is a good investment?

Re: Premium Bonds

£25 last month I'm happy with that, certainly looking at what we got from them last year far out strips what we get putting it in the savings account.

Thanks Muddy, you can't take it with you, money is only useful for earthbound activities, and I've got a thirst for travel...

Too right Julie, and if you just want to sit on your money and keep it safe while having the opportunity to win a few bob I can't think of a better place...
