Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

well I doubt of any of us were around for the first industrial revolution - the wooden wheels and scythes and sickles but we were around for the second industrial revolution - steam engines and cars and factories - but now according to Jeremy Rifkin we are getting ready for the third industrial revolution but I doubt we will even see much of the start etc etc.

Rifkin has written a book of the same title and you can find a fascinating presentation on youtube - yes your tube not my tube - sounds pretty logical to me - oh and by the way he has been at various times advisor to China and the EU and in particular Angela Merkles.

Sweetie Pie - Utube please [in both forms - if you are going to be messing about with your feather duster dusting down dear old Pugsy bear may as well do us all!! ] and have a polo mint for your troubles !!

Today I am gladdened, the Weather Man has just stated "there are going to be some Dry Periods, between the Showers".

To be, or not to be, that is the question
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
those oppressed YouTubes of outrageous links,
Or to take arms against a sea of poor English
And by opposing to end misunderstood themes
do we read and, perchance just adscribble, there's the rub
For in that pale cast of thought what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this forum coil

Alas poor scribblers I knew you well
but feather dusters make me sneeze like hell.

That’s a good point Spitty, maybe they gave them the tall helmets to make them look bigger. Never seen one without the Helmit on, must be tough having the weight of that on your head on a hot day in the city. Do they wear them in bed too?

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

I see Gummy is on plagiarism patrol again, he hates it when the author is not quoted, his beady eyes bulge out when he smells a rat, woe betide the offender.
Shakespeare was a chanser anyway, I mean how could he not have a hit with everything he wrote, there was nobody else writing plays at that time, he had the whole market all to himself, he could have written a play about three blind mice and it would have made number one, when you are the only theatre in town you can do as you please, for all we know he could have nicked half his works from a couple of starving attic writers, plagiarism wasn’t heard of then, so there!
