Isn't everyone getting older day by day? I don't think it's specific to me.

But some people feel a greater sense of entitlement day by day as well.

Could well be. It wouldn't be written down of course but who would you prefer to attract to your shop in terms of profit?

Big-spending, fast moving families or slow, small spending pensioners. of course the answer is both, but you'd give priority to the big spenders.

Very wrong of course, but business can be a very hard hearted thing.

I agree, not funny at all. I see why you did it but if I'd been behind you I'd have been fuming at you dithering and deliberately holding the queue up. A better option might have been to report her to her manager for being inconsiderate in rushing stuff through too fast.

Seriously though, without the help of my good lady, I would be a Queue delayer. Me and carrier bags are a disaster area, trouble is, I know it.

But that's OK, not many mind if people are just slow, it's holding the queue up intentionally with no thought for the people behind that's annoying and gives old people a bad name.
