Storing bread

How do you store your bread, in cupboards or fridge? My dad and a friend of mine store it in the fridge and they say it keeps longer. Just curious what others do

Re: Storing bread

I keep it in the freezer, wrap slices in 2's in plastic wrap then again in a freezer bag as I like a variety of breads.

Re: Storing bread

Yes, l do the same as Muddy and Meg. I freeze bread and take out slices as and when l need them.

If they are small whole loaves, l take them out, usually defrost them and pop them in a hot oven for about fifteen minutes and they are like new!

Re: Storing bread

In the freezer for me.
I do have a bread bin also.
If I bake bread, it lasts just a day - Too tempting with my lot.

Re: Storing bread

Whole loaves in the freezer. I take out what I need and when defrosted I keep the slices in a bread bag at the back of the pantry door.
