I'm having a look at Premium Bonds, now that the Banks are no longer paying interest.
Trouble, I find, is that people broadcast their winnings but they never say what the "return on Investment" percentage is.
After all, if you won 150 quid, on 30,000 pound investment, you had for 10 years, that's not very good?
According to this up-to-date information the annual prize interest rate is not that good, probably worth checking out the website though:

As a matter of 'interest' (excuse the pun) I had around £25's worth of Premium Bonds
some 40+ years' ago, tucked away since then in an envelope, after a divorce and house move.
To date the winnings – not a penny!
