Personally I would like to see the New Years Honours focussed on those who have made amazing strides in their community, if these Olympians have been given one just on the back of doing their job well, that's not fair, if they have done it due to helping their communities, then fair enough.

Phil matey, that depends very much on how you spell the word. Spell it with a 'CU' instead of 'SI' and you may well be right.

Anybody want to mention "Lord" Prescott? If there was ever a bigger reason to abandon the whole system then that must be it..such breathtaking hypocrisy...

Yes Barry I concur - some time ago he said he would never accept ennoblement into the House of Lords. I have no time for him or anything he says - he's a disgrace!!!
