Well done to get two lines! When I was AEU President they sometimes interviewed me for half an hour and put one sentence in. The photo makes up for it!!

She was here for hours took a movie and interview as well as hundreds of still photos. (that particular photo was taken while she stood on my loo because I am 6ft and she was 5ft)

The quote they actually used was one from the Illawarra Mercury months before about 'my' seniors' club. BTW I've stolen the photo for my Facebook page

Due to popular demand I might set up a table in Dapto Mall and sign autographs for $10 a go Perhaps I should be looking for a manager or a sponsor? Could be worth millions.

And I forgot to say that they often got that one sentence wrong or out of context. The experience ALMOST made me have some sympathy with politicians.

Jean darlin' - George (my dad) was an engineer (tool maker), was in the AEU and served many years as Branch treasurer, Branch Secretary and finally as Branch President. I attended many TUC conferences when they were held here in Brighton and met and knew Hugh Scanlon quite well.

My friend is 66 and neither behaves like it or thinks like it and certainly doesn't look it.
