I have always thought that the USA have too much influence here, so we want all the good things they have but not the bad things ( you cant have it both ways!
). One of my fears about the EU was it was likely to become another USA, and no country that large can meet the needs of all it's people and money doesn't care about emotion!I have visited much of Europe and loved all of it, because each country had its own identity..,. different foods and clothes, different culture and even different politics, which all suited their place on earth and it's history.
Why did it start to go wrong? Greed and Power were the culprits... because we all wanted more and thought that bigger countries could provide it.
What does our future hold now? I think maybe wars, possible take overs from people who have never had so much as us ( so their going down the route of greed and power), but that will take us back a few hundred years, where freedom doesn't exist but dictators do.
I just hope that I don't live long enough to see it happen.
